Schedule
The EC tournaments are held from 29th to 31st of July 2022, in Ropecon.
For each tournament, click on the links below. Each tournament page will be updated with current information, up-to-date time tables, additional information relevant to the event in question, as well as seatings for each round for your convenience.
VtES tournaments are held in conference room 208.
Please check the tournament pages regularly during EC!
EC attendees will require a Ropecon ticket purchasable in Ropecon’s web store (a single ticket costs 40 € until June 30, after which 45 €). This will allow them to attend all tournaments during the weekend, including Friday’s tournament that starts before the official opening of Ropecon.
All tournament attendees receive a (rather hefty) set of promo cards free of charge for attending. These promo cards are handed out during Saturday. If you participate on Friday or Sunday, but cannot make it on Saturday, please let us know so that we can get you your stacks of cards.
Friday – Last Chance Qualifier
from 9:30 to 20:45
The five (5) finalists of the Last Chance Qualifier qualify for Day 2 of the EC (Sunday).
Saturday – EC Day 1
from 9:00 to 19:30
Quite possibly the largest VtES event of the year. The top 40 of this event qualify for Day 2 of the EC (Sunday).
The final of the 2020–2022 Grand Prix Tour will be run on Saturday, after the EC Day 1 tournament has finished.
Sunday – EC Day 2
from 8:00 to 18:00
The event to bring it all home. The European champion will be singled out from 50 players who have qualified through the GP Tour, Last Chance Qualifier, or EC Day 1.
Sunday – Best of the Rest
from 8:00 to 18:00
Didn’t qualify for Day 2? Don’t worry, there are still plenty of games to play! The EC side tournament is as prestigious as it gets, and a great place to show and hone your skills.
Week of Nightmares is a traditional series of events unrelated to the EC before the European Championship weekend.
