Tournament structure
The European Champion will be determined based on a two-day event, with Day 2 participants decided by the standings of a free-for-all Day 1 tournament. The winner of the Day 2 final will be the Champion.
Qualification for Day 2
50 players qualify for Day 2 to compete for the title of European Champion. Each player may qualify only via one criterion.
5 players qualify through the Grand Prix Tournament Circuit 2019–2022. The winner of each tournament qualifies. Congratulations if you have already won a tournament of the Circuit!
5 players qualify through the Last Chance Qualifier tournament on Friday. The 5 finalists qualify.
40 players qualify through the Day 1 tournament on Saturday (or as many as needed to reach 50). Based on the final standings, players qualify counting down, excluding any players who have already qualified via another criterion.
The tournaments follow the rules described on the Vampire Elder Kindred Network pages for continental championships. This means that VtES EC 2022 will follow the Tiered Championship Format.
You’re required to provide each tournament organizer with lists of decks you’re using in tournaments. See instructions below on how to submit your deck lists. Each tournament will be played from start to finish with the same deck, but you are free to change decks each individual tournament.
All rules, rulings and guidelines laid out by VEKN will be followed, so we urge the attendants to familiarize themselves with the VEKN website. Any changes or exceptions to the VEKN rules and guidelines or policies will be presented on VtES EC 2022 website.
Please note that all rulings will be based on the most recent official card texts, as compiled by VEKN:
Do you have any questions on the tournament structure, how to apply, or if you are eligible to attend? Please send us an email! See how to reach us on Contact us page.

Submitting Deck Lists
Send the contents of your deck either as a text file attachment (preferably .txt), or copied as a text in an email to:
vtesec2022decklists@gmail.com
The email should include no other text or information but the deck list.
The deck lists are due when you arrive at the judges’ desk for registration each morning for each tournament.
As the header/topic of your email, use the following format, depending on which tournament you are applying for:
Friday LCQ [Player name]
Saturday Day 1 [Player name]
Sunday Day 2 [Player name]
Sunday BOTR [Player name]
The deck list should include the number of copies of each card, and the English name of each card. Cards in other languages are playable in the tournaments, but deck lists should have the names of cards in English.
We suggest you use a deck building tool (Vampire Data Base [VDB] is highly recommended) to build your deck and export the list in text format to be copied into your email.
We will check if your deck list for each tournament has been received as you register for the tournament at the judges’ counter.
In case you apply multiple revisions of a deck for a tournament, we automatically consider the latest sent iteration to be the deck list used for the tournament. You do not need to contact us to inform which version you wish to use – we consider the most recent sent list to be your deck of choice.
In case you are absolutely unable to send the deck list by email, a hand-written copy may be accepted as you register. Please consider the time restraint of our events and have your list prepared in advance, as writing them down on-site takes an awful lot of time (we know it does).
An example of a deck list, made with VDB and exported as text:

Thank you for your understanding and co-operation! Promptly delivered deck lists require a bit of an effort from the attendees, we know, but complying with these instructions will allow us to make the best possible EC together.
